Stage your home. Many salespeople will tell you to get rid of the clutter, clean and make sure your lawn is manicured. I think it’s important to ask yourself, “When a buyer walks through the front door of my home, how will they feel?” The ultimate goal is to make your home beautiful, easy to live with, but most of all, it should be comfortable. Ideally, the buyer should feel at home, like they want to sit and stay awhile. Recognizing how critical a trained eye can be to accomplishing this end, I go the extra mile by hiring a professional decorator to examine key areas of your home and rearrange furniture and accessories to maximize the presentation of your home. In addition, I hire a professional photographer to provide magazine quality photos of your “perfectly staged home” for property brochures, newspaper ads, and all my internet sites. Establish a Marketing Strategy. Choose a realtor who has proven track record and a marketing plan.
